I know this thread is old now but I have this webcam on favourites and have looked in daily since sanmac posted it, several times a day at weekends. It has fascinated me. I've seen deer like mammals as well as the elephants. Last weekend I watched an amazing thunderstorm with fork lightning in that last hour of the evening when it's dark but the camera still...

Here is an view of the Chobe area where Camp Kozuma is located. Drag the yellow figure over the map and take, as they say, a "virtual tour".

I've never seen so many as there are there right now. Amazing

Hi, Prudie, I don't watch it as much as I used too, but still check in every so often. Really interesting to watch them.
I've just spent 10 mins watching elephants leisurely doing what elephants do around a drinking-hole. Wonderful.
Thank you sanmac x

I've bookmarked the site for further nosiness

I'm glad you enjoy it, albaqwerty. It's interesting to watch two elephants engaging in a "staring-contest" over a drinking-spot. There's never any physical hostility; one just seems to shrug its shoulders and move away:)
Aww there's a real baby with them now, not seen it before.
I see the little one, how lovely. They seem to be having great fun spraying water everywhere. It's good to see so many today as when I looked early evening yesterday there was only one there all on its own and I wondered why.
I have this permanently open now and look in quite often, certainly in the mornings there's often nothing there. It gets difficult to see at this time in the late afternoon, I guess because the sun is low and facing the camera.
Question Author
Prudie I thought you'd be making arrangement to go out there by now:-))
Over 25 there now
And the rest...
Jeez there's hundreds of them LOL.
Question Author
I wish that the camera had sound so that we could hear the drinkers both at the pond and those watching in the camp:)
I have sound sanmac, up full.
Question Author
That's strange, LB, I can get sound on other web-cams on this site but not this one. Do you hear the elephants and maybe the guests at the camp?
I can't get sound either.
Oh never tried it with sound, yes I can hear it, sounds like some frog or bird at the moment. LB I might but I'm terrified of spiders, that would put me off any safari type holiday.
I hear the elephants swishing the water and blowing it out and I hear them trumpeting sometimes, also now and again a bird singing and the wind of course.
Shame about the spiders Prudie.
I'm on a MacBook Air using Safari if that makes any difference.
