This could have been written by me! Exactly the same...over summer the numbers on the scales just kept creeping up incrementally and I could not explain it. I have had gastric lapband surgery, and would not dream of jeopardising that, and watch what I eat very carefully, and even had a beautiful wool suit tailored for me last winter. Once the cooler weather hit I was horrifed and so upset to see the suit doesn't fit any more. I don't work out, but walk a lot and hardly eat much anymore (you could fit my whole day's intake on a dinner plate.) Very uncaring people just say oh well you must be eating rubbish, or you should exercise more. I hope they contract something very painful, because those of us with weight problems hardly need the cruelty from the slim people. I don't go around saying 'and you are ugly'. I was taking diclofenac because my joints were aching awfully, and it eased that noticeably; I had maintained a steady weight for over two years, then in the space of a summer 7kg came out of nowhere, it seemed. I also have hypothyroidism, which can cause increased joint inflammation, so the diclofenac on the one hand eased that, but ruined my weight.
