The question sent itself before I had finished.
The great news is that the final adoption order came through yesterday.
There's a celebration hearing at court, early next month .:-)
Following the making of the adoption order, the Adoption Celebration Day is overseen by a judge and provides the opportunity for adoptive families to celebrate. This is a day for the children, their family, friends and supporters who are all welcome to come, and can bring cameras, even video cameras, to court.//
It's an informal court hearing where the families can get together and celebrate the adoption. I gather that the judge and legal teams really enjoy these occasions.
It's also an excuse for the laydeez to buy new frocks:-)
Is this little Princess your first grandchild?
My dad was a miserable git most of the time but he was the happiest man alive when my niece was born. He died before the other two arrived - one of them was a boy and will carry on the family name.
He didn't see my cat as a grandchild or grandkitty.
