Recently I am noticing some chefs baking a cake starting with using a food mixer. Anybody give me a recipe for that. That would be so much easier - thanks

i make loads of different cakes and i just chuck it all in and blend it up and your right it is very easy. i leave out fruit nuts choc drops etc as they would get obliterated but stir them in at the end otherwise everything all in at once!

I am a busy bee - thanks for that - could you give me a nice recipe for like a sponge cake.
i am at work at the moment and dont have my recipes with me! my husbands favourite that i make is a lemon loaf with lemon syrup drizzled on the top which soaks in and makes a wonderfully moist cake, but i dont usually make a sponge sandwich cake (although when i have done the blending it all together works fine) my 'grown up' children still like a chocolate traybake which has melted choc spread over the top and choc chip muffins, choc brownies etc. let me know which recipes you would like and i will post them when i get home.
