Anyone watch this? Got to be the best show for a long time.
Laughing one minute to wanting to cry the next. And it's all completely true.
Such a great insight into what the police and the criminals really think.

Think he finds the stuff involving children the most difficult (but as I said, wish he lived nearer as he would be a brilliant role model for my boys). He seems to thoroughly enjoy the challenge of it all though.
It was a great change from the usual cop programmes.
I liked the the quote from the CID guy who said they should be locked up in a 20ft high cell and let them get on with it!
That burglar waster said he would prefer jail than a police cell as he would get 3 meals a day and a TV!
Pity we don't follow the Asian way when its 20 to a cell with only minimal food and no perks, they would soon learn their lesson!

I particularly enjoyed the bits with the 'alleged' burglar - his mindless, illogical ramblings and his shameless mental (and financial) abuse of his own Grandmother. What a pathetic figure he was. It's exactly these types of people that clog up the system and ruin the lives of everyone around them – the prolific recidivists who care about nothing but themselves.
At first I wasn't sure that it was right to give this moron a public voice. However, after watching the whole show, the programme makers were right to include this oxygen thief. The arrogance, stupidity and lack or morality of these people has to be seen to be believed.
Brilliant show. Makes me quite nostalgic.

Best cop show I've seen for a long time - it got down to the nitty gritty of police work.
I used to work for a criminal solicitors in Manchester and 90% of the clients were like the burglar scumbag on the programme. No remorse and same old faces going to court week in, week out. I really feel for the police - these criminals deserve everything they get, but not a cushy prison. They have better facilities in prison than they do at home, that's why they're not bothered if they get a prison sentence. The justice system should toughen up.
