I'm A Celeb - Toxic

I have found I'm a Celebrity to be rather toxic this year.

If James and Ian aren't bullying Andrew... Then Ian and James are throwing around their toxic masculinity. Mansplaning things to the women, not allowing them to have a say and forcing them to go first with food or trials. Yes that could be seen as chivalry but it has been annoying Kate Garraway for one. She's not been allowed to have her say she's been told where she can participate and eat.

But if James and Ian aren't throwing around toxic masculinity, Ian Wright is being a pathetic little baby. When he did the task with James in pitch black, he was so annoyed at how poorly they did that he threw his helmet on the floor when the trial was over, ripped his goggles off and threw them. This is straight up vandalism right on our TV screens and if he was in a tennis match or a golf match, or any other sports match and displayed that juvenile behaviour and attitude he would be penalised. This man has a MBE and he's being a little ***.

But besides all that... If that isn't bad enough, James is mocking disabilities. When Ian went for a run in the camp, James said "Look at that clubfoot. Go on then, expend that energy." Off com received numerous complaints over the disability joke.

But we can put all of that aside, because none of that ruins kids dreams, but what does ruin kids dreams, is telling them Santa isn't real. This was last nights shocker, when Ian and James went on to explain to the camp how Santa isn't real and how far their parents went to make them believe that he was.

What, score a point like I did on this thread where you ended up looking very silly:

I am with Chris Packham who says that it's inhumane to eat these species. I know that they aren't going to be eating live insects any more, but even so.

Zacs-Master, you are being rather juvenile this morning. We are discussing IAC. Well, at least I am trying to.

Do people not have better things to do than be contentious to those wanting to discuss a certain topic? You don't have to be here but you chose to be.
So do you choose to be here being offended by small little things.
Question Author
Ummmm, I would appreciate it if you would stop harassing me and being contentious.
What is "Mansplaning"? Would help if you spoke proper English instead of these trendy soundbites.
A man explaining. Like a man explaining to a woman what it's like to give birth or have periods.

TD...you are either on the windup or you really are too sensitive.
Question Author
Ummm I just find you a big hostile and offensive. Would rather you found your amusement elsewhere rather than at my expense.

Mansplaning is where a man (usually in a patronising or condescending way / tone) will explain something to a women as if she's completely clueless about life.
It looks more toxic here than I imagine IAC to be.
It's not even the weekend yet...
Question Author
Pastafreak - "It looks more toxic here than I imagine IAC to be."

Unfortunately, you're absolutely correct.

If only people could participate because they wanted to discuss the topic rather than have a pop at me as a user. It just ruins threads and causes a mess. I have not been offensive to these users yet they find amusement in overshadowing my threads with their antagonism and harassment.
I can't help noticing you're always having a go at Wrighty. You must be a racist or a Tottenham fan. (or both)
Question Author
I am neither a racist nor a Tottenham fan.

If you have seen IAC this season then you would have noticed his juvenile behaviour and how he has threw a tantrum almost every day and how he has picked on others.
Haven't seen it but Ian Wright always seems a nice, jolly sort on other things. I'll take your word for it.
Question Author
The guy has had tantrum after tantrum and argument after argument. Literally every episode so far has features a Mr Ian Wright MBE having a complete paddy. Apparently, his football friends said that his short fuse would get him into a few jungle arguments.
I don't know about IAC but this post has brought out the toxic sarcasm in the users here. A page or so worth of comments calling it drivel and a few barbed comments at the OP.. You have to laugh!
I suppose the producers thought that Ian Wright's short fuse would be entertaining and the ideal bait for those who are easily amused/offended.

Retrocop I think you're right. I personally wouldn't complain or stop watching the show, and he makes for good viewing. But my gosh is his personality not one to award a MBE to. Shocking, utterly shocking.

Retrocop you're more suited for a MBE than this grown toddler.
I do watch it and as I said in my first post (which got removed) we are only seeing snippets, what ITV want us to see.

Ian Wright seems to get grumpy when he's hungry and Andrew is no saint. Isn't that the point of the show? Get a load of people in a camp together, make them do horrible things for scraps of food.
//Retrocop you're more suited for a MBE than this grown toddler. //

I know it's my birthday but cut the schmaltz will ya. I don't need no stinkin badges. :-)
Question Author
Retrocop - "I don't need no stinkin badges."

You're right, I'm sure you have more than enough medals already. ;-P

Ummmm - "Isn't that the point of the show? "

What, for grown men with MBE's to be throwing their weight around, throwing pathetic tantrums and showing awful sportsmanship on live TV? I mean.. If IAC is there to expose celebrities for who they truly are then I guess so.

I wish they penalised Ian for throwing his helmet after the deadly dungeon trial.
