im absolutley useless when it comes to cars, i am 20 and hoping to buy my first car in the next few weeks i have 3500 saved can anyone tell me what i will be able 2 get around that price or what cars they would recommend for a first car.
for that sort of money, you could get a very nice motor,if you have just passed your test, you would be advisable to get one with 1200 cc or less for insurance purpuses,fiestas,corsas,206s come to mind.
thanks for all your answers the auto trader website was really helpful can choose cars in my area which was handy, im liking the vauxhall corsa and dont worry i wont be tarting it up and it would be pretty ahrd for me to be a boy racer seen as im female lol
you know what i mean lol ;) Ok then don't cover the insides with fluffy pink "stuff". I'm starting to see more and more of that and it looks horrid. Yucky pink "Barbie Cars"
talking of barbie cars i saw a ford ka in a really light pink colour parked on my works car park few days ago looked so tacky it even had a tax disk that was covered in diamantees.
God....don't these people know how stupid they/there cars look. It's like this guy i know who wears white trackies, chains and a burbery cap and refuses to think he looks like a chav!! Or the 18 year old with a tarted up Nova who says he not a "Gary Boy"
your best bet is somthing like a citreon saxo, pegeuot 105, vauxhall corsa, ford fiesta, ive you have only just passed go for a smaller engine as insurancecompanies will sting u!!
I got a 1.2 Punto when I first passed my test when I was 24. It was a cracking little car and as as the body was quite light, it was pretty nippy too. The insurance was reasonable too, think I paid about 800.
well if its a your first car and you havn't had mush driving experience prior to this purchase I wouldn't spent 3500. You are bound to have some little scrapes and knocks. You could get a good older car for about 1500 - 2000.
