I reckon, as I did before, that the whole uk should vote.
That shoukd secure the Scottish what they want.

I'm unsure letting the whole UK vote in the break up referendum would ensure a split. I think changes would be useful but if the SNP can keep their destructive goals in the background then the UK is much better off with Scotland. I'd even invite Eire to reconsider their unfortunate decision to break away. A pair of islands seem a reasonable single national unit.

If the Scots want to leave the UK, let em. It's their funeral. Apart from the fact that there's no guarantee that the EU will even accept them as a new member state, if they did, they'll have to accept the Euro as their currency – a currency which is failing and failing fast. And then there's the price of oil...
If the Scots do vote for independence, they're screwed economically. Are they really that stupid? I don't think so.

In the interests of democracy, we can't say whether or not the Scots can leave. It's their decision and theirs alone. If they think the relationship is over then it is. What England thinks is irrelevant.
If the EU let the Scots join their now failing club, embracing all the 'benefits' of a toxic currency, anti-democratic government, ever increasing bureaucratic meddling, centralised decision making, unelected and an irremovable political elite, then let them.
If the Scots vote to leave, so be it. Bye, bye. It's been nice knowing you.

The Union (of the UK) was forged by *mutual agreement*.
(cough)Darien Scheme(cough)
So separation should be by mutual agreement, should it not.
I note this thread already has a difference of opinion about whether Scotland benefits the UK or benefits *from* the UK.
They clearly think they would benefit from the EU but… where do they imagine that sub is going to come from after the suction cups are detached from the UK's udders, eh?
IF Scotland = UK's cashcow
AND the EU milks the UK
AND Scotlands EU grants
