Noami, The point of last week was to get two names, from 5 candidates onto the ballot paper for Conservative members to decide on. How this has panned out, has denied the members their votes, and is against how the leadership contest rules were supposed to work. It guarantees a Remainer becomes the next Prime Minister, and lots of members will be very annoyed by...
Doesn't there have to be two in the contest, Mikey?.....I may have that wrong....
If the "lovely, confident, sparkly woman" she was on Friday has had the life drained out of her by Monday she was a pretty weak candidate to lead a country....x
Probably sensible, she was way out of her depth.
No doubt be rewarded with a better job than climate change.
The 3 or 4 month delay in negotiating Brexit because of the leadership contest has now been eliminated, putting on the pressure on May to progress an exit deal.
I assume your stage name is Speedu Gonzalez. I was going to post a question about the same subject, but unfortunately don't have your lightening fast reactions.
Personally I am pleased that she won't have a chance at leading the Tories, but despite that, think it's a bit of a shame she's out (or is likely to be out) - because with two opposing factions, it would be good to see how many Tories support 'Brexity' Andrea and how many support 'Remainery' Theresa.
Once May has been forced to accept an 'unacceptable' exit deal that will be the end of her career. This is precisely what Boris has been planning. Once May is forced out Boris will step up as the 'Saviour' just watch it happen!
Absolutely right for Leadsom to step down. As Gromit said, she is out of her depth. According to the BBC a few moments ago, Mrs May will take over from Mr Cameron before the summer recess begins in about two weeks time. Sorted. The Labour Party would do well to learn something about leadership elections.

On which planet is this going to occur? Theresa May has already accepted the referendum result.Wishful thinking on your part methinks.
The BBC were once again way behind other news media outlets.
Theresa May made another good pitch for PM earlier, I do hope she is as good as her word (but I won't hold my breath)
