Send them the remaining remainiacs to gee them on a bit. They can cheer each other up with stories round the camp fire of how they tried and tried and then tried really hard to kill democracy.

When whole swathes of people have their votes taken away and hackable voting machines are used with no possible way of auditing the result, it's not democracy...

EDDIE51 - “... But due to the 'electoral college' system Trump got in!...”
This would be the electoral college system that was introduced by the very far thinking and rational founding fathers of America who understood the need for the President to appeal to a wide ranging and geographically diverse range of voters and not just to large population centres that are (generall speaking) geographically small. There is cross party agreement in the USA that this is the least worst system for presidential elections.
If this were not the case and the electoral college system was widely considered to be unfair, it would have been changed decades ago. The fact that it was not just goes to show that both Democrats and Republicans consider it to be the best system they can conceive within which to conduct their political affairs.
I find it laughable that those on the (far?) left are now crying foul that the Republicans have won this particular election and are adopting a scorched earth policy with regards to the reasons why Hillary lost to Trump. Their reasons are many and varied and include (but are not limited to) the “unfair” electoral college system, her status as a female, Trump's “unfair” criticism of her demonstrably illegal activities, etc. The list of different reasons I've read run into double figures. It's pathetic, cry babyish nonsense. The fact is, Hillary was a terrible candidate; mired in allegations of corruption, money laundering and destruction of federal evidence, etc. The fact that she lost against the odious Trump just does to show what an appalling presidential candidate she was and what a shambles the DEC is at the moment – mirroring our very own slow car-crash that is the Labour party.
However, I digress. The Democrats have been loath to change the electoral college system because it works for them as much as it works for the Republicans – just as the founding fathers intended.

In all the pictures I have seen of these so-called 'riots' there appears to be a paucity of 'rioters', they are far outnumbered by photographers and cops. It has been widely exaggerated by the media aided by the paparazzi.
I saw a newsflash last night which said according to WikiLeaks, it was instigated and financed by George Soros, but I have no confirmation of that.

What's not to see? I was arguing about the Electoral College being undemocratic. Birdie, as you see, disagrees. But the beneficiary of the system this time said, four years ago, that it was a "disaster for a democracy", as I've argued elsewhere.
Presumably, like everything else Trump said, he'll either deny ever having said it or just forget that he did, but the point still stands.

It should be a link to the single tweet I was referring to, rather than the thousands of other snippets of useful information he hasn't put up.
But anyway. The reason I mention it is ... well, it seems to me that Trump was running on an anti-establishment, anti-politics, anti-business as usual ticket. So the comment "spoken like a true politician" may well be true, but seems pretty damning for someone who pointedly described himself as *not* a politician.
