Let me remind you:
The Department of Health and Social Care has apologised after the website set up for key workers to book Covid-19 tests stopped accepting applications due to high demand.
The part of the gov.uk website set up for key workers to book coronavirus tests was not accepting new applications by mid-morning on Friday.
The website, which enables people to book tests at a drive through centre or register for a home test, said:
Coronavirus test: applications closed. You can’t currently register for a Covid-19 test. Please check back here later.
12.11, Don't see why the cost to the NHS is anything to do with??? The NHS is free to all, Matt states that time and time again, compared to other countries
12.20 The NHS is not 'free' to all. Some of us work and pay taxes and NHI.
If people who can afford it want a test then they have the opportunity to buy one, they don't have to of course, they can wait in a queue, just like those who are a bit better off pay for private healthcare, despite paying £1000's a year in NHI contributions, so they don't have to wait in a queue.
10 private covid-19 tests bought by those who can afford it mean 10 more tests available on the NHS for those that can't or won't pay.
Its free to all! rich, poor, free to everyone, no getting away from that fact weather you like it or not, FREE! And when were you able to view my tax returns, and national insurance for the last 55 years, your answer will be very interesting.
Let's face it Teacake - whenever people like us try to take the government to task for its failures to deliver or even just criticise the government/PM in general most people on this site (Tories) fly to their defence and accuse us of negativity - and worse. That's life on this site I'm afraid.
