I wouldn't go quite so far as to shoot them (at this stage, anyway). But they must be prevented from landing by whatever means is necessary. As well as that, as I keep repeating, the Human Rights Act must be repealed and we must withdraw from the ECHR so that any that do land can be more readily removed.

No political party has any intention of doing any of these things. Instead they wring their hands crying that there's nothing they can do about it, and requisition another ten hotels.

Since then we have had over 40,000 arrive.
Something has obviously gone seriously wrong at the Home Office. Sort out that Department, put someone more competent in charge, and let’s see what they come up with.

I didn't say they were scum. They are in the vast majority economic migrants entering the country illegally - and we don't have the resources to keep coping with their increasing numbers.

What policy? There doesn't appear to be one other than providing them with expensive accommodating, service and gifts when they get here. What's not to like when you come from living in squalor on the outskirts of Calais to being provided with full board & lodging, pocket money, GP and dentist services and a bus into the nearest city twice daily?
