Liz Truss is planning to allow thousands of immigrants to come to the UK to fill the Thousands of job vacancies that the Brits don't want.
Mainly agricultural workers ,and hightech Broadband engineers. And she is prepared to lift the immigration requirement of them having to speak the English Language to help them qualify faster. Most of these workers will be coming from the E/U.....(Ain't you glad you voted Brexit)

At least it's now up to our government (illegals excepted). But the policy is plain wrong, or at least can only be a short term sticking plaster for those going back home afterwards.
There should not be vacancies that Brits don't want; don't prefer but willing to take for now and go on to something better when the opportunity arises, maybe. Long term refusers first need help to change their attitude to something more hopeful, then if that doesn't work, welfare needs to be cut to make life less than comfortable, and becomes an incentive to rethink their choices.
One understands that not all are necessarily physically suited to all jobs, but one is sure employers will be willing to give the weaker workers a little slack at first until they build themselves up.
There should never be any excuse to import cheap labour from other nations. We are all in society together, we all need to contribute during our lifetime. Granted some local economies generate more vacancies than others but where there's work there should be genuine applicants.

///As for jobs that Brits dont want that is garbage. Although looked down on picking fruit/veg is actually skilful if you are to get a large amount of crops harvested in a short period of time without wrecking them.///
that may all be true, ymb, but the fact is we're short of them, so Brits clearly don't want the job. Perhaps the skills are inadequately rewarded, at least in British eyes?
Also, most seasonal workers in 2021 were Ukrainians. We're not getting them now.
