Who did the devil kill in the bible?
126 Answers
Apparently in the bible god killed an abundance of people and the devil only killed two or three. Obviously there's no way of getting through all of god's murders as there would be too many to mention here, but was a record kept of the devil's victims?

We have to recognise, argorstran says, the distinction between divine authority and fault-ridden human religion. Isn't that lovely? Glad thats all cleared up!.... except, if god is so omnipotent, and omniscient, and worthy of praise as every religion would have us believe - why doesn't god intervene? Why doesn't he take these bloodthirsty evangelists to one side and show them the error of their ways?
Its not as if such atrocities in the name of god are new either - so why doesn't god learn from history?

Baza - “... birdie, try reading the post from cupid, the first word was "perhaps". I think that you will find that pork comes from pigs , a forbidden meat ,if you are going to quote bits and pieces you are no better than those you condemn...”
Try re-reading my answer to Cupid's post. I think you'll find I began it with, “If you think that...” which is entirely in keeping with the hypothetical presumption originally presented by Cupid.
That being the case, your point is what exactly?

Mike - “... I shall say one thing in Naomi's defence; despite our profound differences at least she does not stoop so low as to report a post with which she disagrees with a view to its deletion, unlike a certain little dicky bird I could mention!...”
Are you referring to me? If you are then I must retort.
I have never asked the Ed to remove a single post from AB. Never. Not once.
Please elaborate.

Mike -
I apologise in advance if your 'dicky bird' comment was not directed at me but I honestly can't think who else it could have been levelled at.
Assuming I am correct, I would like an apology or at least an admission that you are wrong on this particular matter. I have never asked, nor will I ever ask, for a post to be removed from AB. I fundamentally disagree with the idea that a person should be silenced for saying what they believe is true.

I watched a very interesting documentary last night called Zeitgeist which discusses Christianity among other topics. It made reference to the fact that the story of Jesus can be found in other forms throughout history. Also it said that when Jesus came to prominence it was coming into the age of pisces and leaving the age of taurus and that's why there are references to fishermen being the disciples and why the devil us depicted with horns. It was really interesting.

Mike - “... Never apologise, never explain...”
How very Christian of you.
Why did you mistakenly think that I have asked for posts to be removed from AB? I have spoken about this in the past when some quite hateful (and potentially threatening) stuff, directed at me personally, has been posted by a certain member of AB. Even then, I have never asked for a single post to be removed.
I'm with Voltaire when he said, “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.”.
Thank you for apologising and therefore contradicting yourself in the space of two sentences.
