Press Ctrl and prt sc together. This will take a screen dump.
Open Paint, paste, and then save.
You will then have a large copy of the screen which you can manipulate further if you need to for printing.
Re the printing, I can't help as printers have different ways of doing things, but maybe your difficulties stem from printing from the programme and the above might help you solve it.
I like to use the Snipping Tool which I keep pinned to my Task Bar to get the image (Win 7) then resize the saved file in Photoshop/PSP or whatever happens to be your graphics program....... Paint will do the job just as well........
........then as the other guys say..set your printer to suit ....
