stupidly yes, i then reliased and diid a recovery on my computer and run a virus scan and everything seems ok i hope it is any way cant beleive i did it stupidity itself
i know i cant beleive i did im always telling everyone dont open anything you dont think is right and what do i do!!!!!!? the silly thing is that i was expecting a parcel i just did not read the email address
That's the trouble. If you are expecting a parcel and you get something like that, it's easy to fall for. My wife got an email saying "One of your friends has sent you a birthday card" with a dodgy attachment. The trouble was, it was her birthday and so she opened it. It took me a full day to get a working machine back.
the amount of rubbish email you get you would think you would learn by it wouldnt you? i will never do it again thats for sure iget about 5 spam emails a day it drives me round the bend you would think people would have better things to do
carrottop10, they really don't need better things to do. Look at it this way, if one out of a hundred people that open these emails allows them to infiltrate your computer and seek banking details etc while your online, the scam pays for itself.
They just sit back and wait for that one person to provide them with the details they need to empty bank accounts etc. What could be easier?
I'd agree that a clean install is a little drastic, but as a precaution it might be wise to do a full scan of your computer with malwarebytes because it's more aimed at detecting spyware and malware than most anti-virus software.
