I do homecare, so there is always a chance I will get there to find someone on the floor with a broken hip/arm etc. It happens... and they are being delayed because a lorry driver doesn't want to walk 10 yards... and that was really all it was.
I turned into my road once to encounter an ambulance stopped blocking the road .
The paramedics were just exiting the vehicle .
I requested if they could just move the vehicle into the parking space literally a few feet down from where they stopped . ( i couldn't understand why they did not stop in the parking space in the first instance ).
Anyway the chappie said to hold on a bit and he will move it after they had access the situation inside the house
I was refering to drivers who mount the pavement, just look on youtube, the number of close shaves is frightening. Emptying bins shouldn't be that dangerous.
Baz, maybe that extra few feet might have meant the difference between life or death.
Not having a pop at you, but couldn't you have parked in a bay and then walked home?
(although I have no idea what your circumstances are for mobility, so I apologise for that)
alba, yes, that's how I read it: he was blocked in. And I don't know how he could have asked them to move if they'd all gone to the emergency and he didn't know where. So I have some sympathy for him.
