....a lass I didn't know very well came to me in the school playground.....gave me an EP saying...you look the sort of person who'd like this....listen to it....

It was Joan Baez and I have been in love with the woman ever since.....from The Isle of Wight in my hippy clothes....through every UK tour.....till tonight in my bling......

Her Fare Thee Well Tour at Symphony Hall in Birmingham was bliss........a wonderful venue.....the sound and lighting were impeccable for a simple performance....

She came on stage.....stayed for two hours singing the songs we love to a gently appreciative audience until we were on our feet at the end.....and yes......I shed a tear as she left......

I know I'll not see her live again and I wouldn't have missed this for the world..... :-)

I love Joan Baez. She reconciled me to being an alto! Seriously. I could perform her songs to acclaim by my fellow pupils - and throughout my life. She deserves a bit of peace now - so glad you saw the performance; it must have been wonderful. :) xx

Wow, Andy! I would have loved to have met her too......and yes, she has become more beautiful with age......
Her stage presence last night.....just standing with guitar in a simple white shirt and black jeans was spine tingling.......a lovely lady in so many ways.....

And I have to add......a beautiful audience too......x

Hi, J....oh I don't think she's looking for peace from what she told us...

She is cutting back on world tours but will perform at festivals and still support those seeking peace and justice.....the students against guns in America is very close to her heart right now......x
