Ric.ror. For a walk, drive up to Otley Chevin (tremendous views over the Wharfe valley on one side and take-offs from Leeds/Bradford on the other). Decent pub as well and lots of room for kids to run about.
I will be taking the little ones next week - a visit to Morrisons first for some frozen peas then a lovely walk around the tarn and feeding the ducks then lunch in the cafe - hope we get a window seat x

Oh, and Harry Corbett Snr. invented Sooty near there and lived there at the top of Hollins Hill (go down it to Shipley) or along to Dick Hudson's pub (pretty old establishment), past Harvey Smith's place.
I’ve given you BA jourdain for your helpful reply but I don’t drive so Yeadon is a decent enough bus ride for me with the little ones
However when I’m on my own I might have a trip to Otley - I remember the nice market - then a walk up to the Chevin will certainly clear the lungs
Cheers me dears
The pub you are refering to is THE ROYALTY at the top - my sister in law told me about it.
As for the inflight cafe - I cannot praise it enough the staff were so very helpful and the little ones loved it - I would heartily recommend the Apple and Cinnamon scone too
Sat on the seat by the roundabout at the tarn end of the runway a number of times when visiting and staying at both the Travel Lodge and Premier inn to pass an hour away. Good view from there too.
