It's not just because I am against horse racing,,
Maybe it is,
I think it's a case of money talks in regards to the Cheltenham meeting going ahead,
Punters coming from all over,
I wonder how many will catch the virus?
"It's not just because I am against horse racing,, Maybe it is"
No 'Maybe' about it, Jordyboy. It most definitely is the reason for your post. Else you would already have had a dig at all the other sporting festivities that have drawn large crowds over the last week or so.
Can I ask you Jordy, why you might be "against" racing horses? Being a total animal lover, myself... and having not only worked with racehorses for many years, but also bought ex-racehorses... why on earth would you be against them?
Pixie 374,horse racing means gambling,
I have had 3 terrible experiences of how gambling ruined the lives of 3 lovely families,
One suicide,One prison sentence,One divorce,
such as ant or cockroach racing in the Far East or miniature pig racing in the States.....anything that moves can be betted on - for example, pigeons, greyhounds and even we humans.... so as to horses jumping over a few hedges, not that much different.
Just spent a couple of very enjoyable days at Crufts, with 160,000 visitors from many different countries (including Italy). There is not big money involved and they went ahead because the government advice was followed - same as Cheltenham. Why should it be cancelled if there is no government recommendation to do so?
