Vet advised me 2 feet for a labrador, and I buried her under a paved patio where foxes couldn't go.
Sandy, have you lost a pet?
Question Author
Thank you both.
An old tomcat came to the garden a couple of months ago. He was little more than skin and bone. Over the last couple of days he couldn't jump up to his place on the sofa. He didn't move from the bed we made for him and this evening he screeched a couple of times and died.
He wasn't a lifelong pet but you can quickly develop affection for a pet.
You gave him care in his last days.
Awe, that’s sad sandy .

I like to think he had a happy retirement, kept warm and well fed.
Wonderful story, sandy; good for you.
What a lovely person you are, Sandy - and I'm so sorry for your loss, you made the end of his life a very comfortable one.
He knew warmth and care towards the end, that’s wonderful of you.
About two feet and put a paving slab on top if you can x
That was very kind of you Sandy...you gave the old boy love when he needed it.
