I have finally seen a suite to my liking - just exactly what I want (in looks). However it is in Scotland and they don't deliver to Ireland.

I have niece and nephew living near to one of the stores.

However

1. Would you buy a suite without having sat on it - if yes.

2. How could I get it delivered to me ie - like in a roundabout way - could I get it delivered to niece for whatever and then pay niece to get it delivered to me - would that be a lot of trouble.

I remember you having a lot of problems with suites and being unhappy with a least two you have bought fairly recently - not being comfortable.
If I were you I would not be buying a suite I hadn't seen in the flesh and sat on. It is doomed for disaster
I have always sat in or viewed in person any furniture bought. Wouldn't buy it any other way.
calm, there is no import tax or custom duty between mainland UK and Northern Ireland.
I have bought hugely expensive beds online but only after I'd tried them out in a different shop.
Sorry just saw Ireland in the post

Mixed posts there - no Anne - have been searching for about 2 or 3 years - actually looking since I bought the current suite. I told you I like big puffy arms and there are none to be found in NI.

I contacted the removal men online ie contact form but have not received a reply - maybe they're off for the weekend.

No it is just a basic suite. I never take risks but may this time - only to get the suite. I'll wait and see the sister tomorrow - her and I have the same phobia. She has the most wonderful suite - truly luxurious (old fashioned - we don't like modern suites" ) you can sink into it and you could fall asleep in it. This suite I have now is about 3 or 4 years old and I have never liked it and it is getting "tired" looking.

Thanks all for your posts.
if you are willing to pay, find an upholsterer and get them to make one for you
