There's probably no closer bond than that between a boy and his dog ;-)

Few here will be old enough to remember the film, Old Yeller.
I saw it when I was 10 and it brought a tear to my eye.

Me too sandy.
And now I'm remembering the day I got my beagle puppy.
That little boy is so gentle as he touches puppy fur for the first time.
