ive noticed a lot of l/h/d polish cars on the roads recently and some of them look like s**t and it got me thinking. 1 do cops pull them up or is it too much bother for them ? and 2 if there over here for a long time they wont have an m.o.t. like a british car or am i being naive or xenophobic ? - discuss
i agree with you, kirky. i have polish friends. a lot of these cars have nothing. the plod hardly ever check up on them 'cos it's not worth their while. why cant they pull them and do checks at the same time as doing road tax checks with their camera vans?
i did notice last week that there was a car transporter parked around the corner when they had a check point so they were expecting a lot of dodgy cars!!
They are mdoo - but it's not just Polish. An Irish friend of mine has been living over here for 6 years now and he's still riding his bike on Irish plates even though he's changed bike a few times.
You're meant to re-register after 6 months I think it is but there doesn't seem to be any way to check up on it and he finds that the police are reluctant to pull him and if they do they tend to let him off when he presents an Irish driving license.
Seems it's just too much grief unless it's a serious offence
