In what way?

Question Author

I just answered the questions.

So do you know where the extra tax is coming from?  I ask because Labour has pledged not to increase Income tax and National Insurance - so what are they increasing for 'the working man'?

£4,757 for me.

"what what?" ( an honest old ABer)

we will pay more tax under labour - apparently the whole country believes that - - but does that mean they will vote labour

all ask ( thx to Kai Lung, Ernest  Bramah)

As posted by 10 Clarion on my previous thread The only option the Tories have is to "Attack Labour with as many inventions, suppositions and scaremongering "As possible.😎

For a start that figure is calculated over four years. Secondly it's pure conjecture if you read past the front page ie 'Labour might do this Labour could do this'. The Cons are not doing themselves any favours by publishing these accusations and frankly only the foolish will believe them. I'm not voting labour or conservative so have no skin in the games but if I was borderline thinking of voting conservative this sort of rubbish would put me off.

did you do the quiz aunty?

According to the link basic state pensions will be taxed (the link say that some state pensions have been taxed for years) and council tax will rocket.  It doesn't say that some people pay no council tax at all and many get some form of discount.

Question Author

It's £18k if you send the saucepans to a private school.

That can't be taken seriously.  It's too airy-fairy.  That said, I don't doubt for a moment that Labour will milk 'the working man' for all he's worth.  If they don't they'll need a magic wand to do all they promise - and then we won't like it.  Be careful what you wish for.

TTT yes I did and it's total Botox. Pure conjecture. What I did do is click the 'how we worked this out' inderneath every claim and that's even bigger Botox 😂😂😂

Question Author

11:38 so you don't mind having your Alans taxed off for your beloved labour party? Right oh!

TTT if that's aimed at me that's hilarious 🤣 . I'm not a labour voter and never have been. I was a Thatcherite back in the day 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Are they talking about the new or old rate of state pension?

If all houses are going to be pushed into the next council tax band what will be in band A?

Question Author

davebro: "if all houses are going to be pushed into the next council tax band what will be in band A?" - Only GOAS' ex council house.🤣

For the umpteenth time Starmer has told you .He will not raise Income tax,National insurance or Vat. That was from Starmer.........Not Boris Truss or Sunak.Who you knew were telling lies every time their mouths opened.

Question Author

"For the umpteenth time Starmer has told you .He will not raise Income tax,National insurance or Vat." - I beleive him. That's 3 things he wont touch, what about the other 697?

£2k for me, but seeing as the thing is created by the Tories, anyone using it would be a fool to believe it is an accurate representation of their political rivals.

I would give best answer to Mozz71
