Yes, it is a great picture. Prince William is a good fan and is a credit for what he does.

He needs to watch out. Did he get permission to hug ? That is probably assault !

Saka doesn't want any special allowances or favours. It's us who owe him.

A great performance last night.

“A great performance last night.”

I don’t follow football at all but I take a passing interest in the results. Last night England failed to beat Switzerland in 120 minutes of proper football. It took the lottery of a penalty shoot-out to overcome them. Switzerland are ranked #19 in the FIFA rankings, 14 places below England and just above Iran.

Judged by the results, the performance of the England team has been, at best, underwhelming. In the group stage they managed to score two goals in four and a half hours of football. They couldn’t manage to put a goal past Slovenia, ranked #57 in the world. In the last sixteen they scraped a goal in the fifth minute of added time to survive into extra time.

I don’t know how a draw against such a lowly team can be described  as a “great performance”.  At this rate England will probably win the competition on the toss of a coin.

^^ The subject of this thread is Bukayo Saka. And the 'performance' related to Saka's, which was brilliant throughout the game as demonstrated and appreciated by Prince William.

Just as well they had one half decent player then. Without him they may have lost (and got the inevitable disappointment over and done with sooner rather than later).

NJ...have you ever considered a career with the Samaritans :-)
