No, it won't hurt her, but just remember not to regularly feed her on chocolate, because it's poisonous to dogs (although one malteser won't do any harm!).
No - one won't hurt her at all, but it's true that chocolate which's designed for human consumption doesn't suit dogs. Having said that, my mother had a greedy King Charles Spaniel who lived to a ripe old age. He was forever begging for - and receiving - chocolate and titbits - and although he was somewhat overweight for his size, he was quite happy and lively until the day he died.
My old dog ate 3 boxes of Thorntons that were under the Christmas tree one year. And apart from me being severely out of pocket as I had to re-buy them and him throwing up all night long, there were no ill effects.
My cousins dog managed to get his chops round all her boys christmas chocolate and spent a week at the vets on a drip. They said if he hadnt been so young and fit he would have died. He did eat an awful lot though. My dogs often had a wee bit of mine and it never did them any harm
Not a joke question Rev. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs and will affect some more badly than others. Vets see many dogs with chocolate poisoning and many die. Ecrs2300 was concerned and, although I agree one malteser will not harm her dog, I can understand his/her posting the question.
