are you really bothered? Do you actually even believe it? I mean we are never going to see the real effects of it, neither are our children. Do you really care?
I'm no expert but i have to say that I'm as sceptical about our ability to change the weather as Canute was in his ability to stem the tide.
It just feels like an excuse to pick our pockets.
p.s sorry forgot about the subject now with Mr K's posting.
It isn't true! I look at the BBC weather forecast reports and if you go to page 407 it makes a comment about that particular days weather from years gone by and it was often warmer than it is now.
No.
I'm married , aged 45 and we have no kids.
So I figure that the planet only has to last me another 40 years at the most.
So I could not give a damn :-)
I drive a 4 x 4 car.
We live and heat a 4 bedroom house.
I travel abroad several times per year.
I figure I pay heavy taxes for the above.
It's the poor who will suffer.
seen the price of wheat recently ?
Watch Africa starve and the wars start to rage.
Will the US be happy with China calling the shots in the new world ? Errr no ...
I think global warming is low down on the list of things that will cause world changing events.
The funny thing is, is that the people who talk about India and China's growing needs for their expanding economy don't look at the needs of the people who live there, if I lived in or visited India I'd want air conditioning. The people of these countries have lived in sh1t for decades (India especially) now they're starting to get the things we take for granted and environmentalists seek to deny them, it's a bit of a cheek.
Its cyclical, the planet has always heated up and cooled down, its all been here before, and is just coming around again - just that someone has labelled it Global Warming this time and scaring everyone
Be careful Weeal that's tantamount to heresy, you may wake up tomorrow only to be burnt on an environmentally friendly stake powered by renewable energy.
No I do not believe it is our fault, if it is happening then it is a natural occurance and nothing we can do about it. Anyway, we'll survive. We survived the Ice Age, etc.
I hope that theatre is lit by candles made from organic wax. Think of your carbon footprint for such a decadent waste of energy, you'll have to sit in a darkened room for 24 hours to compensate.
