I live in Newmarket now, but was born and raised in Manchester, Stretford..
Ice,
I assumed that, but its so bloody annoying to see him sitting on his ar$e claiming benefits, and between you and me ice, shhhh, whisper, he claims dole as well.
Seriously now - I really don't know a lot about the benefits system, but I know various people who claim for certain things, and it seems that they're fully entitled it. I can't be doing with the argument that our taxes are paying for idle folk to live the good life, because only a small proportion of an individual's tax goes on this. I personally get more cross about other things which our taxes are spent on. The unemployed people I know, live very frugally. It's impossible to live well solely on income support, so either these people are up to their ears in debt, or they get their luxuries by working on the side - or other means.
Hi Ice, I
Its to late for me now, but please come back on this post tomorrow and I will tell you something I learnt last Sunday about benefits, its unbelievable but true.
I've lived in York for 18mths and I know my neighbours either side of me as I live in a terrace. Sometimes I don't see them for ages though or then I see them a lot and we have a chat. The house on my right side has just been put up for sale so I will get new neighbours soon. I have also started to get to know more people in the street near me as my daughter as a new boyfriend who is very popular round here which is great for her too x
