Sightings will probably pick up once the tabloids get tired of Seal culling/Charles & Camilla/Charles & press/childish footballers/etc. Monsters, Yetis, and Nessie are usually a summer filler... (It's lovely being a grumpy old man!)
I went to the Nessie museum last October and even at the exhibition they admit scientific exploration has pretty much ruled out any possibility of such a large 'dinosaur' being able to exist there. The exhibition plays on the fact that it is just a darn good story, with no pretence but a little bit of mistery - and well worth a visit if you are near Loch Ness in Scotland.
