It could all so easily go wrong though.........Imagine if enough people don't pay the fee by the time the competition is over,you could end up with a pittance for your house!

I read somewhere else that if he doesn't make enough money for his house, he's going to do a draw with all the correct entries and the winner takes all the cash he's collected.

That would make more sense mrs.o,at least the winner would get something for their stake if not the house,and the home owner wouldn't be left with nowhere to live and not enough money to buy another house.
