Maybe this should be in shopping thread. But bought crop tops yesterday in M&S Extra Large as I am a large lady. When I tried one I thought I was taking a heart attack with the tightness. What is happening shops are they cutting material too small. I actually think this extra large top would have fitted my size 10 friend lovely. and I am a good 20. Come the good weather me and my dog will have to do more walkies to fit into these clothes.

strangely enough, the same with me this week, top bought must have been 4 sizes smaller, clearly not the usual standard from M&S. ES
Hi Connemmara

mrs ianf's noticed this too, as when she goes to get her usual size 10 or 12 it never feels like that size - either too tight or too big!! - they don't make clobber like they used too!

if i go with her clothes shopping she spends an absolute age in the changing rooms! - parking's not cheap in Brighton either!
is this normal, Connemmara, or are you lovely ladies just winding us husbands and boyfriends up?

could be all to do with your findings, methinks!!

lol x

I bought loads in Primark last week and most will have to go back.Bought a pair of skinny jeans size 16 -im a 14 really but they didnt look a 16 and I could barely get them on my legs-and I can assure you my legs are the skinniest part of my body !! My daughter who is an 8 would have been tight to get them on.

Im not going by sizes now -just whatever fits lol
