i bought a jar of pasta which i was hoping to use with tuna and pasta for dinner tonight ,but' i cant get the lid of the jar ,tried tapping it,in hot water,any more tips?

put a rubber glove over the top then you will get a good grip


failing that smash the jar and sieve the glass out

If you are not considering re-sealing the jar............a quick stab through the lid with a pair of scissors/ sharp knife will release the pressure.........

Stick a sharp knife through the lid - this will release the airlock and you will be able to open it. Who needs men?

legend's rubber glove idea does work, done it many times. or put a rubber band around the lid and then try opening.
