I have just been given a copy of Slumdog Millionaire (naughty-naughty) and it seems perfect, so I have to ask where do people get these copies from when they have not yet been officially released, I have been told you can download them free on some net sites but how do you know you're not downloading a shed load of virus's
that, Sprayer, is the eternal question. You just don't know. The people that distribute illegal copies of movies are unscrupulous and so it would not surprise me in the least that they work together with virus developers/distributors. I would therefore recommend that unless you knwo the source of the disk, that you avoid it like the plague. You could end up with a greater cost than just waiting for a legitimate copy.
think most of them are taken from approval/test screening prints sent out from the film companys to promote the movies ( some do have property of warner bros etc, on them) and obviously downloads from various unknown sources across the globe!
but gone are the days of seeing someone's big fat head on the screen as you're watching it!
one of the first i saw was E.T back in '82 on video - it was really sh** and i paid good money for it too!
Cheers for all your answers, having got a trojan horse virus from Limewire last year that cost me over 60 to fix I dont know if I would trust downloading a movie
