(I hesitate to start the tea/dinner/supper debate again).
Dave's Gourmet Dinners has dished up :
Poached Salmon (frozen but v v good - Aldi)
Peas (frozen and v v ordinary - co-op)
Home Made Cauli Cheese (brilliant - there was a 'bit of a moment' when I realised that I had no grated cheddar in the freezer, but desperation has now shown me that shaved parmesan is even better as a sauce ingredient)
... and some Brown Sauce (Stokes since you ask).
All washed down with a nice glass of Sancerre from my recent booze cruise.
Red cabbage boiled in 1/3rds red wine/orange juice/Water add red onion, sultanas and orange zest, cook long and slowso that the liquid almost fries out .... unctuous... great with red meat... specially venison
When I was a child, and we had meat and potato pie, that was it. Just meat and potato pie. No accompaniments. Well, gravy, I suppose. Is gravy an accompaniment?
