Woofgang: When I went out this evening there were fireworks going off in the garden next door. I asked the young lad why and he replied, "It's Guy Fawkes". When I asked him if he had been taught about Guy Fawkes at school he replied, "Yes". I offered him some extra instruction along the lines of: "Remember, remember the FIFTH of November, not the *******EIGHTH".

BlackadderV, I used to live in an area where Halloween fireworks started about 1st Oct and ran through to somewhere in min Nov. The wee dog I have now would have been bonkers if it had been there with me.

When we got Halloween over I thought that was the end of it but the tennis club(no distance from us), musta been for the English members had a fireworks display on Guy Fawkes night. Wee dog, and me weren't happy

Can I carry a baseball bat also? My poor Sally goes into hiding every night from 5.30-6 onwards...and has done for several weeks. She's a shivering wreck.
