Mikey you're not in news - don't jump to inaccurate assumptions. I never said I didn't understand them I just don't find the pathos of Woody Allen remotely entertaining.

Prudie,
I'll very happily replace my choice of "The Perfect Storm" with either "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", or, "Dances with Wolves," or, "Sleepless in Seattle".
I am not a fan of Woody Allen either; but many people love him, so that's fine!

I concur that choosing just 10 is almost impossible and some of my favourites have already been mentioned. In no particular order;
Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Cuckoo's Nest, Godfather (1), Scent Of A Woman (not so much for the plot but mainly for the brilliant acting of Pacino), Green Mile, The Departed, Redemption, Last Of The Mohicans (as much for the rousing music as anything else) and The Whicker Man (the more sinister version with Edward Woodward).
