I'm getting conflicting advice about this.
On average, I reckon I drink anywhere between 10 and 20 cups of black tea (Typhoo) a day.
Some people are saying it's too much caffeine.
Some are saying tea is a diuretic.
Some are saying, drink it by the gallon - it's good for you.
Who's right ??
I love tea and drink several Earl Grey's every day. Some say "drink lots of tea it's good for this and that and you'll live for eternity" others say "never drink tea, it'll give you arthritis and you'll di tomorrow". I ignore all kinds of "advice".
You must've had a rotten brand, maybe a vile Twinings or such like. It is an acquired taste. I used to hate it, just the smell was enough to knock me sideways but now, I LOVE it. Anyway, having said that, I'm off to have a coffee now. The cafetiere is on full blast this morning.
If you have been drinking the tea for a long time and just started to get the headaches then I doubt its the tea. Yes, that's quite a lot of sugar to intake every day, even 10 teaspoons along with the sugar you get from other sources. Be careful though as sweeteners can cause headaches too. Try taking the tea without sugar! It may make you want to drink less tea.
I've been drinking tea (and plenty of it) for aaaages. I haven't changed anything recently, so I can't work out where these mild headaches are coming from.
I'm going down the road of taking less sugar - just tried half a spoon today and it tastes ok :)
