Went to Hereford to your chicken shop today for the first time. Amazing prices.
I bought daughter some too. I got 3 bags of plain chicken thighs, 2 BBQ flavoured thighs and 2 garlic and herb thighs. All for £8.25. The plain ones were only 75pence a bag. The quantity varied between 7-9 per pack.
There was a good variety of all chicken things including nuggets, also lots of fish too. Well worth a visit. Thanks for the info Sherr.

I'm so pleased you got some bargains. I love the chicken shop - sometimes you get chicken breasts for 50p for 3! I know some people drive 40 miles or so once a month to stock up.

We went to Hereford as we needed to go to Maplins. Could have gone to Cheltenham but it was nearly the same mileage so I remembered the chicken place. I will definitely be going again. Daughter was thrilled with her bargains.
It's the same stuff that they sell in Tesco & Morrisons - sometimes get huge bags of chicken quarters for £1! There's no rhyme nor reason to their pricing but I always go in if I'm out in the car (my friend goes more often than me & last week got me 3 bags of 10 breaded chicken steaks and three huge bags of chicken goujons for £3).

Some of the boxes had real price stickers on which were different to the prices on the cabinets. I asked an assistant and he told me ignore the marked packs and use the cabinet prices which were a heck of a lot cheaper.
The fish section are the same as were in Harry Tuffins supermarket but were actually cheaper at HT. they were £3 for a pack of anything up to 8 breaded cod or haddock. We understood they were M & S rejects.
What is this chicken shop called?
Is the fish cheaper at HT?
It's the Cargill chicken factory shop - it doesn't come nicely wrapped but it's cheap!
"Cargill currently processes 1.6 million chickens per week at the Grandstand Road plant"

Enough for a family of 7 (with a few left over for Caran) then ;-)
Thanks for that. Is it halal?
Agree it's definitely worth a visit, when I lived on my own, I could easily fill the freezer with a months worth of food and still have change from a £10 note! Granted it isn't the best quality but hey, times are hard eh? If it tastes good, then it's good enough for me! :-)
Hi Ben - I have some twin walking reins if you would like them, they are well used but have super long strap things - they were a god send.
hi Kizzy. Brill yeh, they would be ideal for when they start walking which I don't expect will be long as they are just coming up to 1 and getting into plenty of mischief now! how much do you want for them? I'll pop over later in the week to get them if thats okay by you?
Ben - I've FB you (sorry Caran)
