aquiring network adress

I have managed to find and type in my net work key for my netgear modem, but when i try to connect to my home wireless network i get the message "aquiring network address" and after trying for awhile...

internet connection on a laptop

I use Virginmedia Broadband and previoulsy I have been able to take the ethernet connection from my desktop P C insert it into my laptop and access the internet. Now when I try it the Local Area...
