Peugeot 306 fuel cut off valve 1.9 diesel

Hi all, can anybody explain how to gain access to the fuel cut off valve on this car as it seems to be fully enclosed by a metal shroud ? The car is a 1996 Peugeot 306 1.9Td cheers

peugeot 306 diesel fuel pump

The fault appears to be the stop solenoid, but we can't find it!! The Haynes manual says it's on the top right for a Lucas unit, (which it looks like) but there is a gold coloured cover on the right...
