morning, Thursday already, the days are flying by. i hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today?
Morning all - so what were the team in for, emmie....at least you are at home...great to have your friend coming in. Did the Falmouth run yesterday and the Mater in good form - managed to get all her lunch into her.
Rapid response teams who go out to these in emergency medical/OT need. I phoned the GP surgery yesterday when lines opened, and the GP called me back, just after 10,00am, he said that he would organise RRT as i told him about food/water problems swallowing etc.
Its supposed to be a fast service though they were not that quick. I had to phone several times to the surgery, to chase them up. An OT turned up who did obs, and asked me a battery of questions,
Good luck Enmmie, hope you get this swallowing thing sorted out today, particularly with your woman doctor/nurse? coming back to see you....and also keep any flu under control - don't want to sound doom and gloom but is it because you haven't had the antibiotics and you have had some infection? I had that after my gall bladder and it was quickly stamped on by the GP.....anyway, let the professionals sort you out. I'm off into the cold here, 0C/ feels like -4 out there to de-frost the car. Have a good day all!
After my most recent op - I had real difficulty swallowing anything and found sucking iced juices easier.
My nose was also throwing out some right yucky stuff - the dr explained it was because of the air that they pumped straight into me.
I did say morning earlier on but you may have dropped off and missed me.
I didn't either - I wonder if its fear - if in hospital and you choke you know someone will be about to help you - but at home there is no one.
Just my thoughts - but I am not a medical professional
