Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

Eh?? just hoovered the keyboard, as I was saying hija wouldn't have any old 2nd hand thing but as long as it was named then OK, and I also got her a lovely off the shoulder big collared sweater from Stradivarios (a big shop here!) Well pleased. I was looking for blinds and some old cow walked off with two brand new ones before I could barge my way in, that has given me the hump!!!
shaney, you fill the iPod up with music and listen to it whenever you want. You can download CDs you already own, or buy songs - one at a time or whole albums - from iTunes store (or Amazon or other music sites), or you can just download things from YouTube for free. I have basically recreated the 1960s on mine, though there are one or two songs I have been unable to locate anywhere. I have NO rap songs and NO Engelbert Humperdinck, though you may have prejudices of your own to indulge.

You can tag songs different ways and make up playlists - "sad songs", "1965", "brass bands", whatever you like.

You normally listen through headphones but you can plug it into players with speakers, which looks like what you've won. It will probably also recharge the battery.

I think they're wonderful. I don't have a mobile, I don't do FB, I don't tweet, but this is my one device for modern living.
Thanks for the info Jno ..I've just been looking at them on Amazon ..They're not exactly cheap are they :)
I'll have to drop a few hints ....
Get the biggest one you can afford Shaney, they are brilliant!

Morning all, what no invasion of the villagers after the gate was left open! Good.

We are supposed to go seta (mushroom) hunting today but as none of us actually knows what they look like I very much doubt we'll eat any!
Neti I think folk know we are here, I know that a few come and have a lurk. Well I know why I felt so weary yesterday, it turned into a tum upset overnight but has swept through like bad weather and I feel heaps better today. Have started putting up a few decorations.no big tree this year cos I can't be bothered to get it out but candles and bits and pieces....will post a pic later.

Hi woofy!

Yes hija wants the tree and decs put up, but I find it such a chore these days, moving tables and installing small ones for the tree to stand on and then sorting out 3 or more strings of lights, but guess will do it sometime this week. Normally I do it on the 15th but will get it done earlier. Now I have moved my whirlygig washing line to the front patio, there isn't much room for the red outside tree, but I like having it so will endeavour to bung it somewhere. Red with gold baubles that one always is.

Am still in bed, Mr N watching golf and hija still abed. So much for seta hunting!!
Morning each...this puta takes longer to get moving in a morning than I do. Bit chilly here. I can put up with cold, it's the tearing winds I can't stand.
I might put my squatty tree up at the end of the week but it is a chore neti I agree. I'll see how I feel, my shoulders ache like hell at the moment...I might just throw some lights on the bunch of twigs in the corner (leave it!)

Good to see we're all still present and correct ...sorry about ya post Vinny but have a toon instead....
here, just tell them you found these growing in the cupboard, neti

Glad you're feeling better, woofgang, these tummy bugs can leave you feeling a bit discombobulated before you actually realise where it's coming from.

Yum jno, they'll do for me, and obviously edible!
Good Morning Biddyfriends, It's quite a cold one here at the moment but I'm off out about 11 when Terry Wogan comes on. I only like him on Children in Need. Daft aren't I!
I hope all your aches and pains, wherever they are, ease off today and give you a peaceful Sunday. I've spoken to Steadier on the phone and he will probably be up to see me the week before Christmas and now I've got to try and pin down Steady to come out with us for lunch. I'm sure he will if he isn't working.

This afto I'm finishing off my cards, I'm always happy when they're done. All my long distant ones have gone. I've also got 2 birthdays one on the 23rd and one on Christmas day!! Bless her. It's my niece and when she was younger her Mum always tried to make it special for her. she's in her early teens now and understands a lot better.

Have a good rest of the day see yer later 'gater(s)
Yay! filing cabinet has gone off upstairs landing!! I put it on free cycle and two nice husky young men came and took it away this morning. They are delighted to have it, i am delighted to be rid of it win win!
Am finishing making my cards today ready to write and post. Sis arrives tomorrow evening so tomorrow is clean and tidy day and wrap her gifts.

Yes, we did go seta hunting and got a huge bag of mixed fungi , none of us knew if they were edible but I said I thought they were all poisonous as they were all pale underneath. We asked a couple of locals and they confirmed that they were all toxic, one up for me! Still we had a great time scuttling up hill and down dale, except for me who stayed on the path, I just knew I'd slip and break something if I strayed. Went to a local eatery and had lovely noodle paella and beer as wine made me ill. Lovely lovely day.
Neti I have never fancied eating wild fungi since I saw a program on hunting for them and the bloke said before cooking them, you should always soak them in salty water to get the insects out :-(

I wouldn't eat them either, it was just something for us to do as a family, as there is not much to do on this island. I buy mushrooms clean in a packet from local supermarket!
My demanding neighbour used to pick and eat mushrooms growing under the shrubs in her front garden insisting they were morels...they weren't anything like morels but she wouldn't have it. She's in her 80s & still around.

I wish two big strong men would come and remove all my clutter...most of it's unuseable rubbish
<sigh> days are short aren't they?
Yes, short and grey the days right now. I really think that freecycle is amazing. There is loads of actual rubbish as well and I will have to pay to get rid of that and the shredding is a mountain but slowly slowly I will get there.
They sure are short Robi. It's no sooner light then it's dark again. Not to worry not long now before they start getting longer.
I've done as many cards as I can but still have to go and buy some more.

Going to make a nice cup of tea then going to watch the TV tonight.. At the moment I'm watching Easy Virtue with that actor out of The Kings Speech but can I think of his bloody name. Noooo! After that Country File or what's left of it. and so on on BBC 1 til my eyes start to shut!

I love mushrooms but I wouldn't trust anything I found growing out in the open.

Right - that's me done for now. Have a good night all - see you tomorrow x

I still cant think fo that lovely man's name...! Heeeelp!
