Trying to recall a television series from my childhood. This would have been in the late sixties or early seventies. Can't say if it was American or British and the only clue I've got for you is that every episode started with the hero listenig to his new assignment on a cassette tape which always ended with the words "this tape will self-destruct within thirty seconds" - something along those lines. Driving me crazy!

TIA (back tonight to say thanks to anyone who's been able to put me out of my misery, as it were:)

Eeek! Jno! "He likes you." "Yeah I can tell!"

Going to get sheared tomorrow, I was relieved my hairdresser isn't on holiday, in this heat I really need to lose some hair!

Neti have you still got any of the clothes you sewed by hand? I don't know how you did that in such short time.

Oh look, I found the original flapper on YouTube (but he's upgraded his moves a bit:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHzAMMDvdqg Mean Machine!
No of course I haven't Kit, it was 46yrs ago!! And they would have fallen apart by now, I did do rather large backstitch to get it done, and to my Dad's horror I used cabbagy knots when starting! Teeth were always used to bite off the thread, and to open beer bottles which explains the probs I have now! Dad taught me to wax the thread to make it stronger.

I didn't mean do you still wear them, I just thought you might have been proud of your work and you'd saved some. I would have been proud:)

But as for opening beer bottles with your teeth, aren't you rewriting history a bit now, I think we've already established how you used to do that http://i47.tinypic.com/24chxlf.gif

>>>>*runs like hell before Neti decides to bury me in the same grave with Gordon* (and yes I know he ain't dead yet but give hija time!)
Ha ha Kit that ;looks so painful.
Morning tout...overcast & fresher today, really should drag myself out.
Kit!!...tut! Now tell that hairdresser to go easy with the shears, we wouldn't want there to be any confusion over your gender when you get back. ;o). I was just about to put you out of your misery yesterday but you worked it out for yourself. I can't say that I agree with Q's being flagged up in that manner though.

Has anyone found an idiot-proof self tanning lotion this summer? (no sprays thanks) I'm fed up with my pipe cleaner legs.
♪.... wish mre lñuck as you wave me goddbye ....♪

am off to dentist for a filling, I would rather fight 100 geckos. I am terrified!!!!
Yep robi, slather on the baby oil and lay in the sun (you'll be dead by next year, but hey!) I am enjoying being tanned and not smelly, should have done it years ago!
we want you to be here for years neti, go easy in the sun... besides, you'll look like a raisin. Good luck at the dentist. Imagine I'm right there with you, that'll be so scary you'll forget about the filling :o)
♪.... wish mre lñuck as you wave me goddbye ....♪

don't worry, neti, dentistry can sort out your speech impediment
Whoops, Neti has overdone the sunbathing............

goodness me, Lottie, I didn't know human flesh could do that
LOL. Neither did I

I am taking a completely different stance about sun this year. I am staying in the shade as much as possible and covering up my legs in loose linen or cotton trousers. I have decided to be pale and interesting. I hate sunbathing and am fed up with fake tans. Natural ones take me ages to achieve and then fade extremely quickly.
Here I is, back again with a wonderful looking complete incisor for £40! I was a disgrace, there was no pain but I kicked over the tray of instruments, slid right down in the chair away from the dentist, waved my legs about and stuffed my fists in my mouth so she couldn't get there! I also stop breathing when at the dentists and they shout at me to Respire!!! I am completely ashamed of myself, so am gonna buy me a LG mobile phone GS290 to reward my good behaviour. That wrinkly skin looks revolting (had to double check it wasn't a leather outfit) but this is the first ever year that I have tanned so hopefully won't look like that.
How much neti? tut, you had a filling not open heart surgery...make do with these

Hi all. Well I've been a bit busy today. Went walking for about an hour with my sister a good circular route passed shops where we could buy a few bits (as the saying goes). I bought some cable pins so that was my job for the afternoon sorted. The broadband cable has all come loose round the side of my house so I had to get the broken old tacks out, which was a bit of a pain because before I could get the grippers round the tacks to pull them out I had to get the tatty plastic off so that I could get a proper grip to pull them out. Anyway I was up and down the steps like a fiddlers elbow. My neighbour even came out to see what I was up to. Still it's a good job done as it looked a sight with the cable flopping all over the place. I only belted my thumb once and I was 'fuffoowaffing' all over the place It's a pity I can't be as efficient with my table. :)
Hope your dental treatment was worth it in the end Neti. I don't like going but have had 4 crowns done and may have to have one replaced as when I fell over it came loose but I'm hanging on to it for as long as I can.

Hope everybody else is ok and aches and pains are receding. I have a bit of a rough throat and the sneezes. It must be the pollen about but I don't feel bad.
Going to have a nice cup of Horlicks now Have a goodnight all.
Murray plays Nadal tomorrow so what do I do!! I want them both to win.......crazy ir what!!
My goodness Jude you are an energetic little thing ,I'd love to do all that walking (used to walk a bit until I fell and damaged my knees -was told this week I'll need 2 knee replacements in the future )if I live that long ! Hope the better weather is making you all feel better .That photo jno definitely looks like a leather suit to me ,I only expose parts of myself to the sun when I'm hanging out the washing or walking round the garden
Just had a brilliant ( at least I think so) thought ,why don't all the Biddies get together and have a weeks holiday in Woolacombe with Vinny ! Just a thought . Bye -breakfast time xxx
Well now I'm here I've forgotten what I was going to say...just like I forgot to take some painkillers & found them sitting in the kitchen, tut. Never mind fuffoowaffing Jude, just come right out & shout it.... I forget the windows are open in this warm weather & that other people's are too.
It would be great if Murray won but he'll have a battle on his hands.

Hi Dolly, that's a brilliant idea, everyone start training toot sweet
