The question is relevant because Sir Lenny is asking “why is this?”. You could say that black people simply don’t want to go - but why? Is it down to a perceived lack of diversity among the acts, is because of the cost? Is it because camping isn’t ‘a black thing’.
It may be that the reason is entirely innocuous but to not ask the question is to assume an answer.
It’s similar to the question “why are there so few female CEOs of FTSE 100 companies?”
Is is because women don’t work in the fields represented by those companies, because women still bear most of the child care responsibilities in a relationship, the glass ceiling etc.
It may be that the answer again is innocuous and nothing to do with sexism - but it may be that there are structural inequalities that women face that need to be addressed.
But simply ignoring the question isn’t the way to go. Ask the question to test the answer.
