Yes I've seen John Miles too, he did the working men's club circuit Bobbinwales , a very versatile artist
Another High Flyer
Well Music was my first love, douglas
He was indeed a high flyer but he decided to Slow Down
We saw him in Manchester and he walked on stage, didn't acknowledge the crowd at all and just started singing. He stood the whole time and after about an hour and a half he finished a song, paused, looked at us all and said "Hello Manchester" then went on with his next song. Nobody heard it because of the applause and whistles going round the venue. When he finished he just walked off. The sound, the voice, everything about the concert was superb. He'd been so ill it was a just a pleasure to see him on a stage again.

Must of been 1990 when I saw him, illness hadn't hit him back then
John Miles seemed to be the support at every concert I went to in the 80s. He was usually always stoned.
My reply was about Chris Rea. Don't know about John Miles as I've never seen him. Went to see Dionne Warwick in London many years ago and she was so far out of this world they brought a chair out for her to sit on. One of the shortest concerts I'd been to.
Question Author
Yes I was on about Chris Rea too BD
Question Author
I'd say the best concert was seeing Tina Turner, she was fantastic
