Good morning, all! I'm stuck on the following to complete this puzzle. Some help would be appreciated, thanks!
36 ( A ) Bird shifting round back to far end of lake (5) : ?EEVE
-Verification for 33 ( D ) Vulture finding difficulty landing in two bends (5) : URU?U
( URUTU ) ?
And the last 2 Unclueds:
5 ( A ) GARDANT or DORMANT?
5 ( D ) I have: GY?OA?Y, but cannot see the heraldic connection!
Matakari, glad you have got this finished. Your post confirmed that we are indeed all different when it comes to enjoying crosswords! I thought Doc's puzzle was pretty flat - some very easy clues and an obvious theme that was heralded (!) by the title.
True, Neveracrossword, many of the clues were pretty straightforward for me and I was glad to see the answers so quickly. The heraldic component posed one challenge for me with 5 down which I could not find in the list of heladry! Many thanks again, and do enjoy the weekend!
Thanks, Matakari. The other reason, of course, for finding this pretty lacklustre was that it was yet another of Doc's Brewer's-based puzzles. I know I'm not alone in thinking that we have had far too many of those!
