I used to defend the moderation on this site, even when I got suspended myself.

But it is getting petty, minor banter and very minor insults are being removed.
Anything negative said about any AB member should only be removed when the victim complains.

I am losing interest in visiting AB and I know that my brother has given up on it already.

Is it a bit concerning that so many long term abers ‘ the decent ones ‘ :-) have taken a break from AB ?
If it is concerning to you why have they taken this course of action do you think . ?

As wolf says, the moderation plays a part. I also find there's little that takes my interest, plus if I post something myself it's probably only going to appeal to a limited audience. It's really difficult to get conversations going on here.
The only threads that seem to get continuous attention ...outside of the endless news threads...are the 'how long will this last' threads. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

I agree - the threads become less and less inspiring and post a fun thread like 'wot's for dinnur' and you get shot down by some turgid narrow-minded farts.

Actually, I'm finding it pretty dead on here now. Not all the fault of moderation, although it plays part.

Never heard of it Red. My break was around 2011 to 2013 if I remember correctly.
