Was going to ask you this on pasta's thread, but thought I'd just make a new one. I know you're into all sorts of building work, so do you ever use limewash?

No icey. Read about lime plaster but settled for other methods. Not many people know much about lime and how to use it these days. The main thing about lime products is their ability to allow buildings to breath a bit.

You looking to use lime at your house? Before your answer on another thread about running an estate I had sussed you live in a stately home!

It is said that Mr R's great grandad, a plasterer, used to drink a little of the water that rose to the top of the lime plaster mix. I think it should have caused him trouble but he believed it was good for you. He lived to a good age! Not recommended tho!
