Tonsils and tongue bar

Im having my tonsils out soon and I was wondering if I was gonna have to take my tongue bar out. I really ont want to as I dont want it closing up. I paid ?40 to have it done after all.

The dentist says not to eat sugary food between meals. Does this include fruit as fruit has sugar in it?

How important is it to use a fluoride toothpaste? I quite like the idea of using a herbal one. I heard we get enough fluoride from our tap water.

side of tooth broken away. already filled so dentist has said will need to drill old filling away, put in a pin and build filling around this. I dont want this treatment. Can't they do something...
